Career guidance seminar for DNU English Language students

How to identify your strengths to find a suitable job? What skills are needed to conquer and impress employers? How to get a good job with a high income? Let's find the answer with the program "Sharing experiences and job opportunities for students" on the online platform MS Team organized by the English Language Department.

The seminar program to share experiences and job opportunities for students was held with the participation of the Chairman of the University Council, the Board of Directors, teachers and students of the English Language Department of Dai Nam University. On the guest side, Speaker Bach Ngoc Chien (Vice President of EQuest Group, Deputy General Director of iSMART Education Joint Stock Company, Director of iSMART Education Joint Stock Company - Northern Branch) accompanied the program, helping to answer questions about career development orientation for students.
The main content of the seminar focused on 3 topics: (1) The inspirational story of Mr. Bach Ngoc Chien and the importance of English in developing students' careers after graduation; (2) Dialogue and exchange between the speaker and leaders, staff, lecturers and students of the English Language Department; (3) Interview competition: The speaker played the role of the jury (employer) to ask some interview questions and students (the role of job applicants) answered. As an employer, he gave comments and suggestions to students on how to have the best answers to conquer employers.
English Language students have wide job opportunities when they receive early career orientation.
Led by speaker Bach Ngoc Chien, the seminar provided students of the English Language Department of Dai Nam University with knowledge and insight into future orientation, thereby making the right choice for their career journey.
Sharing his experience with students when going for a job interview, Mr. Bach Ngoc Chien gave advice that when applying for a job: “Don’t talk big, speak simple and sincere words. Don’t beat around the bush, go straight to the point, demonstrate your abilities. Have a solid grasp of background knowledge and social knowledge. You will definitely succeed.”
The team of teachers in the English Language Department always accompanies students on the path to self-reliance and career development.
In the current trend, young people must know how to adapt to change and learn many social skills to apply in social reality. Therefore, Mr. Chien gave 3 other pieces of advice to students studying English at Dai Nam University: “ (1) Study all your life, what is needed to survive and develop; (2) Study in depth, the major you like to create your own identity; learn your strengths if you want to leave a value; (3) Have good mental and physical health to study and work with quality” .
During the live talk with the speaker, Thu Phuong, majoring in English, wondered and asked: " I haven't found my passion yet, what should I do? ". Mr. Bach Ngoc Chien advised Phuong to have experiences by participating in social activities, community activities or going to mountainous areas, more difficult areas to find life goals and experience different lives is the best way to find your passion.
