Can I apply to two universities?

- Hello. After the high school exam results are available, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the entrance quality assurance score (equivalent to the previous floor score) for university and college levels. If candidates reach this threshold, they will be granted four certificates of results for university and college admission.

This year there are the following admission rounds:

- From August 1, universities and colleges will begin accepting applications for the first round of admission. Candidates will use certificate number 1 to submit their applications. During this round, candidates can only submit their applications to one school. However, on certificate number 1, candidates can fill in up to four majors for admission at that school.

Every three days, schools will update the number of candidates who have submitted their applications. During this admission period, if candidates feel that they are unlikely to be admitted, they can withdraw their application and apply to another school. Candidates who have been admitted in this admission round will not be considered for additional applications.

- Additional admission: round 1 from August 25 to September 15, round 2 from September 20 to October 5, round 3 from October 10 to October 25. Additional admission round 4 from October 31 to November 15, this round is only for colleges.

During the additional admission rounds, candidates can use all three remaining certificates to apply to different schools. Candidates can register up to four majors in one school on each certificate. During the additional admission round, candidates cannot withdraw their application.

So in principle, for the first round of admission, candidates can apply to two different schools (with the condition that they must withdraw their application from one school to apply to another). For the additional round of admission, candidates can apply to three schools at the same time.

However, candidates should note that they should not submit three applications at the same time when considering additional admission wishes because at this time they cannot withdraw the submitted application to apply to another school. Candidates should leave a certificate as a backup in case they are unable to be admitted to the two schools they applied to.

Another point that candidates should note when considering the first round of admission: the admission period is 20 days, candidates are allowed to withdraw their application to apply to another school, schools regularly announce their application. Therefore, you should not rush to submit your application but can wait until the end of the application period when there are many candidates applying to the schools, candidates can consider their chances of being admitted to submit their application.
