"Black Wood Pig" Project - Dai Nam University won Third Prize in the 2018 National Startup Competition

Surpassing more than 300 startup projects nationwide, the project “Black Wood Pig Farm” of a group of students from the Faculty of Business Administration - Dai Nam University has excellently entered the Top 6 finalists of the 2018 National Startup Competition. After a dramatic competition on December 26 in Ho Chi Minh City, the project “Black Wood Pig Farm” was honored to win the Third Prize of the 2018 National Startup Competition.
Surpassing more than 300 startup projects nationwide, the project “Black Wood Pig Farm” by a group of students from the Faculty of Business Administration - Dai Nam University has excellently entered the Top 6 finalists of the 2018 National Startup Competition. After a dramatic competition on December 26 in Ho Chi Minh City, the project “Black Wood Pig Farm” won the Third Prize of the 2018 National Startup Competition.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2019 Startup Festival held on the afternoon of January 18 in Hanoi, journalist Pham Ngoc Tuan - Editor-in-Chief of the Business Forum Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the 2018 National Startup Program Organization said: This year's competition has more than 300 projects sent from all regions. After the organizing committee evaluated the qualifying round of 7 regions, selecting 60 projects, continuing to select 40 projects, 20 projects and finally 6 projects for the final round taking place on December 26, 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City.

"This year's startup projects are highly practical, with up to 40% of the projects participating in the competition having been implemented and businesses established. 5/6 of the winning projects have been started with businesses. Notably, there are students from this startup project who have become entrepreneurs while still in school..." said Dr. Vu Tien Loc.
The 2018 National Startup Competition final took place in Ho Chi Minh City with 6 competing projects. After a dramatic competition on December 26 in Ho Chi Minh City, the project “Black Wood Pig Farm” won the Third Prize of the 2018 National Startup Competition.
Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Team Leader of the "Black Wood Pig Farm" Project shared: "The projects competing in the final round this year are all large technology projects. Black Wood Pig is the only project on the topic of agriculture. At first, we were a bit regretful because we did not win the highest prize. However, I believe that the whole team has tried our best..."
According to Minh Hoa, the 2018 National Startup Competition is a useful intellectual playground, helping to foster the will to start a business and get rich for young people.
"The 2018 National Startup Competition is one of the most memorable experiences and memories in my student life. Through this, I would like to express my gratitude to the School Board, teachers in the Faculty of Business Administration - Dai Nam University for always accompanying and creating conditions for us to express our passion..." Minh Hoa confided.
At the award ceremony on January 18, the "Black Wood Pig Farm" project received an investment commitment from the organizing committee. Next March, the group will begin cleaning up the environment and the old farm. In April 2019, the group will begin fencing and building two barns.
