The National High School Exam was proactively prepared by the Departments of Education and Training and schools early. Therefore, the direction and review work was put into motion immediately after the official regulations were issued.

Prepare a study plan
Mr. Bui Thanh Phuc - Vice Principal of Vo Van Kiet Secondary and High School (Phu Yen) - said: In preparation for the 2015 National High School Exam, the school has developed a very specific and detailed review plan for 12th grade students.
The school requires professional groups and teachers to compile outlines, review and tutor 12th grade students in the spirit of differentiated teaching, closely following the subjects, meeting the requirements of the 2015 National High School Exam.

best preparation for graduation exam
The review content closely follows the knowledge and skills standards of the high school education program, mainly in the 12th grade program, focusing on helping students learn at different levels of recognition, understanding and application of knowledge in the direction of assessing students' abilities to both meet the requirements for high school graduation and meet the requirements for university and college admission.

For social sciences and humanities, continue to raise the requirement to apply knowledge into practice, increase the number of open questions, and link them to current events of the country so that students can express their opinions on economic, political, and social issues.

With foreign languages, it is necessary to focus on teaching in the direction of developing communication skills with listening, speaking, reading, writing, and testing in both written and essay forms.

Particularly for natural science subjects, students are guided to grasp the subject's knowledge and skills standards while practicing the ability to apply knowledge in a synthetic, integrated, and interdisciplinary direction.

According to Mr. Bui Thanh Phuc, the school requires homeroom teachers to grasp information about students' exam wishes to group students by subject.

Teachers teaching graduation exam subjects proactively group students in their class according to cognitive ability; from there, organize remedial tutoring sessions in groups.

In addition, groups can assign more capable, experienced, and enthusiastic teachers to the group to guide and review more for weak students, and mobilize good students to support and help these weak students grasp the basic and minimum knowledge and skills required for the exam.

From the end of February, the school organized a mid-term exam for 12th graders to evaluate the quality of teaching, thereby continuing to orient teaching activities in the coming time, initially familiarizing them with the national high school exam process. The test results can be used as a basis for scoring or adding points to the subject periodic test score column.

“We continue to use the program and teaching time of elective topics to review and tutor students, continue to maintain extra teaching sessions to increase the effectiveness of tutoring weak students and fostering good students.

The school also pays attention to arranging a reasonable review time, ensuring students' health, and reviewing effectively without causing overload.

The school has also assigned a vice principal, homeroom teachers, and subject teachers to be responsible for preparing, guiding, and checking the national high school exam application files of grade 12 students to ensure they are valid, accurate, and complete according to current regulations.

Assign 1 Vice Principal, teachers and staff to prepare exam data according to the instructions of the Department of Education and Training.

The school also requires subject groups to compile mock exams for 8 subjects (Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, Foreign Language) to post on the school's website for students to refer to" - Vice Principal Bui Thanh Phuc said.

Not only Vo Van Kiet Secondary and High School but most high schools across the country have now prepared their review plans and are mentally prepared for the 2015 National High School Exam.
Set up tutoring classes by subject right from the beginning of semester II
In order to prepare well for the upcoming national high school exam, Mr. Le Hong Son - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City - requested leaders of high schools and continuing education centers in the area to grasp the expected registration situation of high school exam subjects of grade 12 students.

From there, based on the test scores or average scores of the first semester of Literature - Math - Foreign Language and other subjects below 5.0, remedial classes by subject will be formed right from the beginning of the second semester.

Along with the note of selecting suitable teachers, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City also emphasized: Class size should not exceed 25 students/class.

For natural science subjects, the Department guides students to regularly practice basic, appropriate exercises; for social science subjects, increase review and testing until students have a firm grasp of the knowledge.

After the second semester test results are available, the school will review the students' results to continue tutoring until the end of June or to participate in more suitable review classes.

The review will be carried out by Ho Chi Minh City right after the end of the second semester until the end of June 2015 with the subjects: Math, Literature, History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Foreign Languages.

The review content is included in the current high school curriculum, mainly the 12th grade curriculum. The review method is noted to both review knowledge and help students get familiar with how to take the test; ensuring that it meets both basic requirements (for high school graduation) and advanced requirements (for university and college admission).

The organization of review classes for students is carried out on a voluntary basis. Students voluntarily register for each subject after receiving notice of the school's review plan;
The school organizes class management and student management closely; coordinates and regularly informs families about students' attendance and learning results during review classes. Review classes are not held on Sundays.
