Announcement of the program to celebrate the school's founding anniversary, welcome Vietnamese Teachers' Day and start the new school year

- On the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the school's founding (November 14, 2007 - November 14, 2014), Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20 and the opening ceremony of the new school year.

- With the consent of the Board of Directors, the School Board of Directors, the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the PR Club, the "First Dai Nam Singing Contest" and the "Sunshine Heart" contest were organized, specifically as follows:

I. CONTEST: "THE FIRST DAI NAM SINGING CONTEST"

1. Purpose:

The "First Dai Nam Singing Contest" with the desire to bring to students

- Confidently express your talent, personality and love of music

- Opportunity to assert yourself and receive high awards

- K8 students get acquainted with the School's Union activities

2. Requirements

- Gathering union members and young people in the whole school to participate

- Faculties and Youth Union branches disseminate and widely propagate the content of activities to attract a large number of union members and young people to enthusiastically participate.

3. Contest rules

3.1 Contestants:

- Candidates are students studying at Dai Nam University

- Candidates are talented in singing and want to express their passion for music.

3.2. Contest format:

- Contestants or groups of contestants ( hereinafter referred to as contestants ) perform the contest songs in the form of solo, duet, or group (no limit on the number of members in one performance).

- Contest song genres include: youth music, revolutionary music, traditional music

- Songs and performances on the list of prohibited performances by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which are not suitable for Vietnamese customs and ethics, are not allowed to participate in the contest.

3.3. Time for each test

- Each candidate has 3 to 5 minutes to perform their part, not including preparation time (over 1 minute will have 5 points deducted per minute from the average score of that part).

- Candidates who are absent or late without permission from the Organizing Committee will be disqualified from the competition.

3.4. Time and Registration Documents

+ Registration period: From September 30, 2014 to October 15, 2014.

Note : After 4:00 p.m. on October 15 , 2014, all applications sent to the Organizing Committee will not be accepted.

+ Registration documents include:

- 01 personal portrait photo or group photo taken recently (soft file).

4. Competition rounds :

The first Dai Nam Singing Contest consists of 3 rounds:

- Round 1: "Audio Audition" is expected to take place over 2 days:

+ Preliminary round 1 : Time: 5:00 p.m., Monday, October 20, 2014

Location: Room 101 - Facility 56 Vu Trong Phung

+ Preliminary round 2: Time: 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2014

Location: 1st floor hall – Bala Campus

* The judges will select the best candidates to advance to the next round. The results will be officially announced on the school's website; Youth Union Bulletin Board and Dai Nam University Fanpage.

* Requirement: Candidates must bring their student card to the exam.

- Round 2: “Dramatization”:

Time: 18:00, Wednesday, October 28, 2014

Location: 1st floor hall - Phu Lam facility

Contest format:

* 20 contestants will randomly draw performance order

* 20 contestants will perform their test with genres and songs of their choice.

* The judges selected the 10 best candidates to enter the final round.

- Round 3: Final night

Time: 18:00, Friday, November 14, 2014

                         Location: campus – Phu Lam facility

+ Contest format:

* The 10 best contestants perform songs of their choice according to approved genres.

* Contestants are invited to join choirs, dance groups, musicians, and video editors to accompany their performance.

* Contestants will practice with vocal instructors before entering the final night.

II. “SUNNY HEART” CONTEST

1. Purpose:

The contest “Sunny Heart” is a deeply humane contest that helps students share and express their pure thoughts and feelings about:

· Love between couples

· Family affection

· Love for teachers and school

· Love of homeland, Fatherland.

- It is a literary activity that contributes to promoting and educating students about lifestyle, guiding students towards pure and beautiful feelings.

- Through the selection contest, we will print a collection of publications, newsletters, CDs and DVDs to celebrate the school's founding anniversary.

2. Contestants:

- Students of all training systems studying at the school.

3. Contest topics, content and genres:

       3.1. Main topic : Each student has the opportunity to share and express their pure thoughts and feelings about: Love between couples, family love, love for teachers, school, love for homeland, and country.

       3.2. Contest categories: Contestants can choose one of the following categories: Short stories, memoirs, poems, reportage clips, music (songs), paintings, photo clips . Contestants can enter individually or in groups.

4. Contest rules:

– Video clip contest : Each unit makes a video clip with the theme “Sunny Heart” , duration no more than 10 minutes.

– Photo clip contest:

+ Each photo clip must have at least 10 photos.

+ Minimum photo quality is 2Mb or higher.

+ Photo captions or captions must be humane and in accordance with Vietnamese customs and traditions.

- Musical composition section: clearly note the theme and idea of the piece.

- Written test:

+ Contest entries must be written in Vietnamese, typed and presented clearly.

+ Contest entries must be composed by the contestant himself/herself, guaranteed not to have been published in any form and he/she is responsible for his/her own writing.

+ One person is allowed to submit multiple entries.

+ Articles about an individual or group are allowed to be partly fictional, but must be based on real sources and events.

+ Contest entries must adhere to the content of the contest, must not mention religious issues, contrary to the Party's and State's policies and current regulations of the School; the article must not incite, defame or insult others, etc.

+ Contest entries must not copy other documents (a paragraph or the whole article). In case of quoting a short paragraph, poem, or quatrain with the purpose of clarifying the content, the quote must be in quotation marks and the source must be clearly noted; articles with accompanying illustrations are encouraged.

+ Sent on time.

The title of the entry must clearly state: Entry for the contest “ SUNNY HEART ”, along with: contestant’s full name, address, phone number, department name, contact email, and title of the article or work.

5. Submission form:

- For video clips - photo clips : print on disc and send directly to the School Youth Union Office or send the link to Email address: dnu@dainam.edu.vn

- For photo contest : Do not wash or print, but send via email: dnu@dainam.edu.vn

- For written tests: Receive the test directly at the School Union Office, and send the soft copy to the email address: dnu@dainam.edu.vn .

- Deadline for submission of exam papers: 18:00 October 15, 2014

6. Competition rounds:

- Preliminary round: The jury will judge video clips, photo albums, and essays about love and life with the theme "Sunny Heart" received from individuals and groups on October 18, 2014 (Wednesday) at the School Youth Union Office (campus 56, Vu Trong Phung).

- Voting round via Facebook social network: After receiving all entries (video clips, photos, writings) of the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee will select and post them on the contest's Facebook page and track the number of likes starting from October 20, 2014 (Monday) to 4:00 p.m. November 3, 2014 (Monday).

- Announcement of contest results: November 10, 2014 and award ceremony: November 14, 2014
