Be creative!
As a technical field, the Construction vocational training program has a lot of calculations and is relatively dry. The nature of the job later also requires you to move and go on business trips away from home frequently. Therefore, it is easy to understand why most people in this field are men. Of course, this cannot prevent women from succeeding if you are truly passionate and enthusiastic about the profession.
Civil engineering is generally a tough and stressful job, but it is worth what you get in return. In addition to a stable income and benefits and bonuses, you will have the opportunity to travel to many places and work in many different environments. Therefore, the construction profession is very suitable for young people who are quite good at studying, like adventure, traveling, like to create, design and realize their ideas.

Industry on the rise in 2016-2017
According to many job consultants, Construction will be the industry that takes the lead in 2016-2017, because according to recent statistics, this industry group is attracting the most workers. This is understandable because the Construction industry in our country is witnessing quite optimistic revenue growth in recent years. Specifically, at the end of 2013, the growth rate of the Construction industry always reached positive numbers, and continued to increase rapidly. According to the Construction newspaper, the Construction industry in 2013 had a high growth in production value, reaching more than 770,000 billion VND (up 7% compared to 2012), accounting for 5.94% of the country's GDP.
On the other hand, the Government's issuance of many suitable policies has really stimulated the real estate market to find itself again, thereby promoting the growth of the Construction industry. For example, the 30,000 billion VND home loan support package helps stalled projects to be re-constructed, or the fact that foreigners can own apartments in Vietnam is also a very positive signal for the Construction industry.
"Thirsty" for human resources in both quantity and quality
According to statistics from the Academy of Construction and Urban Management (Ministry of Construction ), the entire construction industry has more than 204,000 workers, of which more than 90,000 are officials and civil servants in enterprises, meaning the number of workers is only more than twice the number of officials and civil servants.
On the other hand, the capacity and professionalism of the workforce are also assessed to be limited. Specifically, the number of workers with college and intermediate vocational qualifications accounts for only 11.8%; the number of high-level workers (level 6,7) accounts for only about 7% of the industry's workforce. With this ratio, the construction industry is experiencing a surplus of teachers and a shortage of workers. In many large projects, there are untrained workers and idle agricultural workers replacing technical workers. Therefore, graduates majoring in Construction are very "valuable" after graduation and almost never lack jobs.
Salary 800 USD is normal
Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs forecasts labor demand in construction industry will increase to 375,000 people in 2016. Due to the lack of high-quality human resources, many investors are willing to spend a lot of money to retain qualified and experienced engineers.
Looking at the salary figures on current Vietnamese recruitment sites for construction engineers, you can see that they are quite high. Depending on qualifications and experience, salaries can range from 300 to 1,000 USD.
Besides, you can develop your career to foreign markets. The salary of civil engineers in the world today is about 80,000 USD/year (more than 1.7 billion VND, according to USnews.com ) - with this salary, civil engineers are completely satisfied and assured about their quality of life. The problem here is, are you good enough to seize the opportunity among the myriad of opportunities? Don't think about "unemployment", "low salary", but it's time to think about how to equip yourself with skills and knowledge to reap success in the future.
Diverse work, no need to "run errands"
Construction work can be divided into three groups: On-site, in the workshop and in the office.
Positions working outside the construction site - where construction products are implemented include: Construction engineers, earth diggers - backfillers, pile drivers - pile drivers, reinforced concrete mixers, formwork, masonry, carpentry, waterproofing, painting, installation of domestic water supply and drainage systems and sanitary equipment, installation of domestic electricity systems; construction supervision engineers; site commanders...
In the factory: Internal supervision engineer, quality management engineer, product development specialist…
In the office: Specialist or manager in the planning department, project department, quality management department in construction units or can perform construction consulting work in construction audits...
In particular, this is a field that does not require any connections to apply for a job, so for candidates who do not have economic conditions or social relationships, the construction industry is very suitable for candidates to choose.
Fully equipped during the learning process
During the course of studying Construction at university, you will be equipped with the most basic knowledge of the industry, which will serve as a foundation for further study and improvement (such as subjects such as Reinforced Concrete, Foundations, etc.) and can also be applied to carry out construction works in practice (such as subjects such as Construction Engineering, Construction Organization, Design and Construction of Bridges, Roads, etc.).
Besides, you will also learn essential soft skills for life such as communication skills, teamwork skills, writing skills, synthesis and analysis skills, English...
Studying under the guidance and sharing of veteran experts in the industry also gives you lessons on professional honesty, dedication to work and sincerity with friends and colleagues.
Many training facilities
Currently, the country has 29 universities, 21 colleges and vocational colleges, 19 secondary schools and 1 Academy for training human resources in the Construction industry. Obviously, Vietnam does not lack professional training facilities for the Construction industry, but not all facilities have the same quality. In the North, Dai Nam University is one of the few schools with good training quality. As one of the first four faculties established at Dai Nam University, the Faculty of Construction - Architecture has completed its structure and built a team of qualified staff and lecturers. The teaching staff at the Faculty are mostly professors, associate professors, doctors, masters, leading officials from major universities such as the University of Construction, University of Transport, University of Architecture, Military Technical Academy, etc. In which, the Head of the Faculty is Associate Professor. Dr. Dao Van Toai, who has 40 years of teaching experience at the Hanoi University of Construction; is an education expert in the Republic of Algeria.

Another strength of the faculty is the combination of theoretical learning with construction practice. Every year, the Faculty of Construction regularly organizes exchanges between students and guests from construction companies and corporations so that students can gain more practical knowledge, have more job opportunities, and receive help during their studies and internships, such as exchanges with Dr. Tran Van Nam - Director of Thanh Nam Design Consulting Company and MSc. Nguyen Tien Doan - General Director of Hanoi Housing Renovation and Development Company, with Engineer Huynh Thanh Quyet - Deputy General Director of Hong Ha Petroleum Company, under the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group and MSc. Nguyen Van Khanh - Director of the University of Construction Consulting Company, etc.
In addition, students can also visit real construction sites, work directly on the construction site as real workers, and participate in many practical and meaningful extracurricular activities.

Practice practical knowledge at the construction site
Thanks to the scientific and practical training program and the strong relationship with businesses, many students of the school have found jobs right after graduation. Some students, after a few years of working, have been assigned by the agency to positions such as Team Leader, Department Head and even Deputy Director of a construction company...
