With the theme “Ensuring rapid, comprehensive and sustainable economic development in emerging economies”, the AP16 International Conference took place at Dai Nam University from August 7 to 8, 2016, attracting the participation of 38 speakers from 13 countries around the world such as the US, Belgium, Türkiye, Japan, Taiwan, etc.

With the theme “ Ensuring rapid, comprehensive and sustainable economic development in emerging economies”, the AP16 International Conference took place at Dai Nam University from August 7 to 8, 2016, attracting the participation of 38 speakers from 13 countries around the world such as the US, Belgium, Turkey, Japan, Taiwan... The conference was co-organized by Dai Nam University in cooperation with SDMIMD, Mysore, Karnataka, India and Global Business Research Journal (GBRJ).

The conference was attended by 38 speakers from 13 countries around the world.

Attending the workshop were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the University, along with teachers in the Board of Directors and lecturers at Dai Nam University. In particular, the workshop also had the participation of Dr. Le Dang Doanh, economic expert, former Director of the Central Institute for Economic Management; Dr. Elango from JAAlpha Business Research and Publishers; Mr. Phan The Hung - Specialist of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Training, along with many professors and scholars from countries around the world and universities and research institutes in Vietnam.
The conference focused on prominent trends related to the conference theme in the fields of: Global Business, Economics & Sustainability; Finance & Accounting; Banking & Risk Management; Marketing; Management. Opinions at the conference focused on analyzing the factors and prospects of countries considered as emerging economies or growth markets, including Vietnam. The conference also emphasized appropriate solutions to prosperity and sustainable economic development for humanity.

On behalf of the University's leadership, Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized: "In essence , comprehensive and sustainable economic growth" is the only way for rapid economic development in emerging countries. The conference will strive to achieve the following goals: 1. Identify and analyze the main drivers of economic progress in emerging and developing economies; 2. Systematically identify the most important factors contributing to ensuring comprehensive and sustainable economic development; 3. Provide an ideal platform for researchers, economists, bankers and experts in the fields to share their research and practical experiences on the outstanding issues mentioned in the conference theme; 4. Provide appropriate solutions to ensure the development of the global economy, bringing prosperity and sustainable economic development to the world."

At the workshop, Dr. Le Dang Doanh presented on sustainable economic development in the context of globalization. Dr. Doanh outlined more than 20 years of ups and downs of the Vietnamese economy since the US lifted the trade embargo (1994), to joining many large cooperative organizations in the region and the world such as ASEAN, WTO and most recently the signing of TPP. International speakers were very impressed with Dr. Le Dang Doanh's report. The doctor showed international guests the rise and sustainable development of the Vietnamese economy when entering the globalization period.

On August 7 and 8, 2016, issues of Economics and Sustainability; Finance, Accounting & Management Banking, Marketing... will be presented and discussed by speakers and researchers in the reporting sessions of the Conference at Dai Nam University.

On August 7 and 8, reporting sessions by international and domestic speakers will take place at Dai Nam.

The workshop is a forum to help International Education Centers in Vietnam orient their educational engagement for students with a vision in learning and scientific research .
