2021-2022 Student Scientific Research Conference of Faculty of Business Administration, Finance and Banking: Many breakthrough and highly applicable ideas

The Student Scientific Research Conference is an important activity to encourage learners to explore, create and apply the knowledge they have learned to solve practical problems, and to gain early access to research methods and how to implement a scientific topic.

The Student Scientific Research Conference organized by the Faculty of Business Administration in collaboration with Finance and Banking had the participation of Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of the University; Dr. Nguyen Viet Anh - Vice Principal of the University, Head of the Faculty of Business Administration; Dr. Nguyen Hoang Nam - Head of the Faculty of Finance and Banking; Dr. Le Thi My Ngoc - Acting Head of the Faculty of Logistics & Supply Chain Management; Dr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; Dr. Truong Duc Thao - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; MSc. Duong Minh Tu - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; together with the staff, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Finance and Banking of Dai Nam University.

Dr. Luong Cao Dong highly appreciated the scientific research activities of students.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Nam - Chairman of the Scientific Council assessed that all scientific reports this year were of good quality, with clear research methods. This shows that students' independent working skills have improved a lot.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was difficult to gather members to carry out the project. However, with the attention and dedication of the School, the Faculty of Business Administration, the Faculty of Finance and Banking, and the team of scientific instructors, they contributed to the success of the students' research this year.

At the Conference, students presented, discussed and debated openly and frankly many issues such as: "Business model and development strategy in the digital era: Analytical perspective from Xiaomi enterprise", "Some factors affecting DNU students' learning motivation", "Assessing student satisfaction with online training at DNU", "Impact of digital transformation on business activities of commercial banks"...

It can be seen that the topics presented at the Conference are very close to reality, providing multi-dimensional perspectives on the fields of Economics - Finance - Management. The Scientific Council highly appreciated the scientific significance and applicability of the research topics.

“The results of the topics are useful and practical scientific documents for students’ study and research. I believe that this will be a driving force to encourage scientific research activities among students of Dai Nam University to develop more and more”, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Nam emphasized.

Scientific research topics closely follow the reality of the fields of Economics - Finance - Management.

At the end of the conference, Dr. Truong Duc Thao, on behalf of the council, summarized and announced the scientific research scores of the students. Accordingly, the First Prize went to the group of authors Nguyen Lan Vy, Tran Thai Son, Nguyen Thi Truc with the topic "Business model and development strategy in the digital era: Analytical perspective from Xiaomi enterprise"; The Second Prize was awarded to the group of authors Phung Vu The Tai, Vu Thi Ngoc Mai, Nguyen Hong Son, with the topic: "Some factors affecting the learning motivation of DNU students".

Two third prizes went to the groups of authors Nguyen Phuong Nam, Nguyen Thi Linh, Le Thi Viet with the topic "Evaluating student satisfaction with online training at DNU" and authors Nguyen Thuy Linh, Bui Thi Thuy Trang, with the topic "Impact of digital transformation on business activities of commercial banks".

The topic "The relationship between academic stress and intention to drop out of school of Dai Nam University students" won the prize for potential scientific research student group; The topic "The role of the School and Teachers in the intention to start a business of students of Dai Nam University - Faculty of Business Administration" won the prize for active scientific research.

Sharing after the conference, Nguyen Thuy Linh - student of TCNH class 15.01 expressed: "When we first started approaching the topic, we didn't think we could do it. But thanks to the encouragement of the teachers and the dedicated guidance of Master. Nguyen Van Duy, we were able to complete our first scientific research topic. Winning the third prize in scientific research as a first-year student is a great joy for me."

Through scientific research activities, students of the Faculty of Business Administration as well as students of the Faculty of Finance and Banking have gained in-depth research experiences in academic fields; thereby, having the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and cultivate necessary soft skills such as presentation skills, critical thinking skills, teamwork skills, etc. to improve themselves.
