10 years of formation and development of the Faculty of Accounting

The Faculty of Accounting was established under Decision No. 1535QD-TTg dated November 14, 2007, along with the establishment of Dai Nam University, to train bachelors in Accounting. The Faculty of Accounting is one of the key faculties of the school, attracting many students to study and research. After 10 years of establishment and development, the Faculty of Accounting has continuously innovated and improved the quality of training to meet the requirements of employers and society.

The Faculty of Accounting was established under Decision No. 1535QD-TTg dated November 14, 2007, along with the establishment of Dai Nam University, to train bachelors in Accounting. The Faculty of Accounting is one of the key faculties of the school, attracting many students to study and research. After 10 years of establishment and development, the Faculty of Accounting has continuously innovated and improved the quality of training to meet the requirements of employers and society.
International economic integration has promoted the continuous development of Vietnam's economy, making the demand for high-quality labor in general and quality labor in the field of accounting increasingly increase. In that context, many universities and colleges in the country have expanded their training in accounting. Faculty leaders and school leaders have been struggling day and night to find a new direction for the faculty as well as solutions for student output in order to create a solid position for Dai Nam students in the domestic and foreign labor market. With the support and facilitation of the Board of Directors, the school's Board of Directors, the leaders of the Accounting Faculty have made strong innovations in introducing skills subjects into teaching for students to study and research. Theoretical knowledge and practical skills at Dai Nam University have helped graduates easily access businesses and have a certain position in the current labor market.
The Faculty of Accounting is one of the first specialized faculties established at Dai Nam University. After 10 years of construction and development, the Faculty of Accounting has continuously grown strongly in terms of scale, quantity and quality. From this Accounting house, more than 3,000 Accounting bachelors have graduated, becoming an important resource contributing to the socio-economic development of the Capital and the whole country.
From the difficulties in the early days of its establishment in 2007, the Faculty of Accounting has developed continuously thanks to the dedication of the faculty's staff and lecturers, along with the support of the school's Board of Directors and the Board of Management. Up to now, the Faculty of Accounting has achieved certain successes. Upon graduation, the Faculty's students have been welcomed and have a solid position in organizations, businesses and state management agencies. The Faculty of Accounting has also become a prestigious address welcoming more and more students with a passion for the accounting profession.
To create breakthroughs in training accounting students, the Faculty of Accounting is also one of the pioneers in innovation in higher education, linking teaching with scientific research; connecting the school with businesses and society. Scientific research cooperation programs, training cooperation with famous schools and institutes. This combination not only helps the Faculty of Accounting enhance its position but also contributes to promoting higher education in the country, expanding cooperation, and enhancing international integration. In addition, with their determination and enthusiasm, the faculty leaders are very concerned to find a suitable direction, which is to boldly innovate the traditional internship and graduation thesis program by guiding professional practice according to the business model right at the school under the guidance and enthusiastic instruction of the faculty's lecturers. Practicing at the School's Virtual Accounting Department is like a real accountant, not just "riding a horse to see flowers" like the situation of students doing internships at the facility with the traditional internship method. Students are excited to study according to the new model, enjoy it because they understand more deeply about the profession, love the profession, and are enthusiastic about practicing professional skills. This new form not only helps students to get up to speed with work immediately after graduation without needing retraining time from the business, but also helps businesses to recruit people who know how to work right away. The innovation of the faculty has created significant success and received the approval of students, parents as well as high appreciation from the community of organizations and businesses.
Over 10 years of development, the quality of students trained by the Faculty of Accounting has increased and is highly appreciated by society as shown through many surveys of the school and through that the Faculty has contributed to creating a certain reputation in the accounting training system in the country. Up to now, statistics on the rate of students having jobs, the rate of students having jobs in the right field, the rate of students having promotion opportunities after having jobs of the Faculty are currently at the top of the whole school. Many graduates from the Faculty of Accounting have held important positions such as: general accountant, chief accountant, financial director in state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and foreign-invested companies. Some graduates have established their own businesses.
To achieve the achievements in the past 10 years, in addition to the tireless efforts of many generations of teachers in the faculty, it is impossible not to mention the support of the school's Board of Directors, the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University, the companionship and support of many other units inside and outside the school such as: National Economics University, Banking Academy, Finance Academy... and the mutual support of many generations of alumni of the Faculty.
Vietnam's ship is integrating deeper and deeper into the international economy, posing many opportunities as well as countless challenges for Dai Nam University in general and the Faculty of Accounting in particular. The Faculty of Accounting is quickly innovating its training program to suit the development needs of businesses and innovating modern teaching methods to adapt, survive and develop in fierce competition; The school has policies on recruitment, training and satisfactory remuneration to be able to recruit lecturers who are good at their profession and passionate about teaching; The school has fully invested in modern facilities and practice rooms for students to study, research and experience the accounting profession right in the school.
